Job Purpose:
To support the Branch Manager in running the branch efficiently and profitably, delivering excellent customer service, achieving sales targets and maintaining high standards of health and safety. The Assistant Branch Manager will take responsibility for the branch in the Manager’s absence.
Key Responsibilities:

👉 Team Management: Help supervise, motivate and support staff, assist with training and encourage teamwork, accountability and good communication.
👉 Health and Safety: Help ensure company policies, safe working practices, PPE requirements and compliance procedures are followed.
Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate should have experience in builders/roofing merchants, construction supplies or distribution, ideally with supervisory experience. Strong customer service, leadership, communication, organisation, commercial awareness and IT skills are essential.
Knowledge of roofing products, stock systems, delivery operations, a forklift licence and a full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
