Heat welding Lineflex backed EPDM

Lineflex Fleece Backed EPDM comprises an EPDM membrane that is laminated to a tough polyester reinforcement layer which greatly increases its durability as well as improves its tear and puncture resistance.
Lineflex is perfect for adhering to most substrates such as timber, felt, asphalt, concrete, fibreglass, insulation boards and more.
Lineflex comes in a super user friendly roll size of 1.8m x 15m, the rolls have a non-fleece edge to enable simple to install heat welded joins. This type of join is much stronger and more reliable than taped joins. Heat welding is easy and can be carried out without prior training, it provides a neat finish in appearance and can be completed in most weather conditions.
Step 1. Form a temporary weld at the back edge of the seam using your fingers and welder. This will trap the hot air and improve the main weld.
Step 2. Seal the rubber with a hot air welder using a silicone roller at a rate of 2.5m per minute at 220 degrees (level 4)
