In Summer 2022, Wigston Roofing were asked to offer a solution to the leaking Dome Roof at the Central Mosque in Leicester. The dome was a RAL green colour and the client was very keen to keep that so the colour remained the same. They had asked Wigston Roofing if there was a paint on the market that would suit, and seal the joints in the roof simultaneously. 

 

Wigston Roofing, a good customer of Roofbase Leicester, asked Sales Manager Andy Tay if there was such a paint and Andy immediately thought of our Rapid Roof product instead of a paint. 

 

Rapid Roof is a PMMA and can be supplied in RAL colours depending on the size and quantity needed. As this was at least 700m2 then a special colour could be produced. Unlike paint, Rapid Roof is a dedicated waterproofing product with 200% elasticity and is fully BDA and NHBC approved. 

 

Paul Stanway met with the client on site and spec’d the job with Rapid Roof and got prices for the special RAL colours needed. 

 

The quote was accepted and works commenced in late September 2022, and were completed in late November 2022. 

 

The finished works are absolutely superb and this can be evidenced by the before and after pictures that show the brief has been fulfilled 100%.
