Roofbase Ladies Helping to Raise the Roof

Two members of the Roofbase team have been helping to spread the word for diversity in the workplace.

Insulation Sales Manager Nicki Brodie, and Training Manager Lesley Hughes had a particularly busy day and evening recently, when they attended a Raise the Roof meeting, and then moved on to the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Construction Awards 2023.
Raise the Roof is a volunteer-based organisation dedicated to promoting equality, diversity, inclusion, and education in the roofing industry. It aims to create a friendly and supportive space for all stakeholders, including contractors, manufacturers, trade bodies, and training providers. The organisation is driven by its members and is responsive to their needs.
This was their first ever face to face meeting and was held at the UK Construction Show at the NEC. Plenty more events are planned, including a walk over the roof at the O2!
Nicki and Lesley then travelled across Birmingham to Edgbaston Cricket Ground to the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Construction Awards 2023.
